Oscar Fashion Drool
Though the Oscars is a really fun show (no matter how well the host hosts!), my favorite part is the Red Carpet Arrivals. I know that I’m in good company, though I don’t know how many people actually admit it. Do you? Speaking of the show, how fabulous was Charlize Theron’s opening dance? Oh! And… Continue reading Oscar Fashion Drool
Life Manifesto – Holstee
This manifesto has been floating around the internet and it’s sooooooo good. I hope that you enjoy it as much as I am!
Winter by David Budbill
We had a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the HOTY’s birthday this weekend with a little winter wonderland getaway in Lake Tahoe. The ultimate Silver Lining and birthday gift was having all of our children together. Wishing you a creative weekend, full of Silver Linings!
Beautiful Blueberries

Man Does Not Live on Bread Alone
A dear friend Vince whose wife had FBC sent this story to me. Though not about FBC per say, it does make you realize that once you’ve had FBC, it’s never far from your thoughts. His note was so beautiful that, with his permission, I am honored to share it with you. To me, it… Continue reading Man Does Not Live on Bread Alone
Rainy Day by Raymond Carver
Rain came to Santa Barbara last night. I always find rain to be magical because you know what clouds bring: Silver Linings! This poem is inspiring me to take a little respite today and relish in the beautiful Silver Linings. I wish the same for you.
Role Reversal
Learning how to rely on people when I had FBC (f-bomb breast cancer for new readers) was a brutal learning curve. As a nurse and social worker, I had always been the caregiver. And I liked it that way. Until my diagnosis, I had always been a do-it-yourselfer (except when it comes to craft projects).… Continue reading Role Reversal
